A password-protected link can only be opened by people you've given the password to – handy for internal documents, private offers or client materials.
- When creating the link, click the sliders button next to Shorten (or open an existing link with ⋯ → Edit).
- Type the password in the Password Protection field.
- Click Shorten (or Update Link).
When someone opens the link, they're asked for the password before being redirected.
To remove the password, clear the field and save the link.
Good to know: the statistics of a password-protected link can't be viewed publicly, even if the link is set as public. You can also put a password on a bio page, from the editor's Settings tab.
