1 About these Terms #
These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of Selfpage, including the website selfpage.link, the dashboard, bio pages, personal blogs, short links, QR codes, custom domains, analytics and the developer API (together, the “Service”).
The Service is operated by NIȚĂ IONUȚ-LAURENȚIU PERSOANĂ FIZICĂ AUTORIZATĂ, Trade Register no. F2024014821004, tax ID 50834649, registered office at B-dul Bucureștii Noi nr. 136, parter, ap. 5, Sector 1, București, România (“Selfpage”, “we”, “us”). You can contact us at any time at [email protected].
By creating an account, buying a plan or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms, to our Acceptable Use Policy and to the policies referenced in them. Our Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy explain how we handle personal data. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2 Eligibility and your account #
- Age. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or buy a plan. If you use the Service on behalf of a company or organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms for it.
- Accurate details. Keep your email address and billing details accurate and up to date. We use your email to send account, security and billing messages.
- Security. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Use a strong, unique password, enable two-factor authentication where available and tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
- Usernames. Your username is also your page address (for example selfpage.link/yourname). Usernames must not impersonate another person or brand, infringe a trademark or mislead visitors. We may reassign a username that breaks these rules.
- Team members. If you invite team members, you are responsible for the access you give them and for their actions in your workspace.
3 The Service #
Selfpage lets you publish a bio page, write a personal blog, create short links and QR codes, connect your own domain and see visitor analytics. The features, limits (for example the number of pages, links, QR codes or the data retention period) and price of each plan are described on our pricing page and in your dashboard.
We continuously improve the Service. We may add, change or remove features, provided that a change does not materially reduce the features of a plan you have already paid for during its current billing period. Features marked as beta or preview are provided as they are and may change or end at any time.
4 Your content #
You keep all rights to the text, images, links, articles and other material you publish through the Service (“Your Content”).
To run the Service, you give Selfpage a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for example resize images or generate previews), display and distribute Your Content, only as needed to provide, secure and promote the Service. This licence ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except for copies kept in backups for a limited period or where we must keep them by law.
Bio pages, blog articles and short links are public by design: anyone with the address can see them, and search engines may index them unless you choose otherwise in your settings. You are solely responsible for Your Content and confirm that you have all rights needed to publish it and that it complies with these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy and the law.
If your page collects data from your own visitors (for example through contact, newsletter or payment blocks), you are responsible for informing them and for handling that data lawfully.
5 Acceptable use #
You agree to use the Service lawfully and in line with our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In particular, you must not use Selfpage for spam, phishing, malware, fraud, illegal or harmful content, to infringe the rights of others or to interfere with the security or operation of the Service.
We may review, block, remove or restrict access to content or links that we reasonably believe break these rules, and we may scan links for security threats.
6 Custom domains #
- You may connect a domain name that you own or control, on plans that include custom domains. You are responsible for its registration, renewal and DNS settings.
- Where a plan includes a domain name as a promotion (for example a free .BIO domain with yearly billing), the conditions shown at purchase apply, together with the rules of the registry and registrar. Promotional domains are linked to the plan and billing period under which they were offered.
- We are not responsible for disputes over domain ownership or for interruptions caused by changes to your DNS or by your registrar.
7 Plans, prices and payment #
- Prices. Plan prices are shown on the pricing page and at checkout, in the currency displayed, and include or exclude VAT as indicated there.
- Payment. Payments are made online through our secure checkout and processed by licensed payment processors. We do not see or store your full card details. In exceptional cases we may accept a bank transfer.
- Billing periods. Monthly and yearly plans give you access for the period you paid for. Unless stated otherwise at checkout, subscriptions renew at the end of each period until you cancel them. Lifetime plans are a one-time payment for the life of the Service and of the plan.
- Activation. Your plan is activated after we receive confirmation of payment. The contract is concluded when the payment is confirmed and your plan is activated.
- Free trials. Where a plan offers a free trial, you can use it once. At the end of the trial you can choose to buy the plan; otherwise your account returns to the free features.
- Price changes. We may change prices for future billing periods. We will tell you at least 30 days in advance; the new price applies from your next renewal and you may cancel before it takes effect.
- Taxes and invoices. Invoices are issued according to Romanian law and are available on request or in your account.
8 Refunds and right of withdrawal #
You can request a refund of the price paid within 14 calendar days from the date of purchase by writing to [email protected] or through the contact page. We refund the price paid less a transfer fee of 2%, using the original payment method where possible, within 14 days of approving the request.
Refund requests made after 14 days are not accepted, because the Service is made available to you immediately after payment. If the Service is unavailable for reasons attributable to us and contrary to our obligations, you may receive a refund proportional to the period in which you could not use it.
Bonuses or extras offered in addition to a plan (for example promotional domain names) are not refundable separately. Nothing in this section limits the rights you have as a consumer under Directive 2011/83/EU and Romanian Government Emergency Ordinance no. 34/2014.
9 Cancellation, downgrades and deletion #
- You can cancel a subscription at any time; you keep access to the paid features until the end of the period already paid.
- If you move to a plan with lower limits, content above the new limits (for example extra bio pages or custom domains) may be disabled until you upgrade again or reduce your usage.
- You can delete your account from your settings or by contacting us. Deletion is permanent: your pages, blog, links, QR codes and statistics stop working and are removed according to our Privacy Policy. Short links and QR codes already printed or shared will no longer redirect.
10 Our intellectual property #
The Service, including its software, design, templates, themes, logos and the Selfpage name, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service according to these Terms. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer or build a competing service from it, except where the law expressly allows it.
If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely without any obligation to you.
11 Third-party services #
The Service works with third-party services, such as social sign-in (Google, Facebook, X), embedded content (for example YouTube, Spotify or TikTok), payment processors and analytics or tracking pixels that you add to your pages. Their use is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services or for websites that your links point to.
12 Availability and support #
We work to keep the Service available and secure, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may carry out maintenance, preferably with advance notice when it is planned. We provide support by email and through the contact page.
You are responsible for keeping your own copies of important content. Where available, use the export features in your dashboard.
13 Disclaimers and limitation of liability #
Except as expressly stated in these Terms, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill, or for content published by users.
Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where liability cannot be limited by law, including for intent or gross negligence, or to your mandatory rights as a consumer.
You agree to compensate us for losses and reasonable costs arising from claims by third parties caused by Your Content or by your breach of these Terms or of the law.
14 Suspension and termination #
We may suspend or close your account, remove content or disable links, immediately and where possible with notice, if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, if we are required to by law or an authority, or to protect visitors, other users or the Service. When the breach is minor and can be fixed, we will usually ask you to fix it first.
If we close your account for reasons that are not your fault, we refund the unused part of any prepaid period. If we close it because you broke these Terms, prepaid amounts are not refunded, unless the law requires otherwise.
15 Changes to these Terms #
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service or to the law. We will publish the new version on this page with a new date and, for important changes, tell you by email or in the dashboard at least 30 days before they apply. If you do not agree with the changes, you can cancel and stop using the Service before they take effect.
16 Governing law and disputes #
These Terms are governed by Romanian law. We will try to settle any dispute amicably first, so please contact us. If that is not possible, disputes will be settled by the competent courts in Bucharest, Romania.
If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring a claim before the courts where you live. You may also contact the Romanian National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC, anpc.ro), including its alternative dispute resolution service.
These Terms are available in Romanian and English. If the versions differ, the Romanian version prevails.
