How do I connect Selfpage to Zapier or to a webhook?

The Zapier integration automatically sends information to other apps when you create a link or when someone clicks it. It works with Zapier and with any other system that receives webhooks (Make, n8n, your own server).

  1. In Zapier, create a Zap with the Webhooks by Zapier → Catch Hook trigger and copy the webhook URL.
  2. In Selfpage, open Tools & Integrations → Zapier Integration.
  3. Paste the URL into the field you want:
    • URL Zapier Notification – you get a notification every time you create a short link;
    • Views Zapier Notification – you get a notification on every click on your links.
  4. Click Save.

What data you receive

When a link is created:

{
  "type": "url",
  "longurl": "https://google.com",
  "shorturl": "https://selfpage.link/C2Rxy",
  "title": "Google",
  "date": "17-05-2020 04:17:44"
}

On a click:

{
  "type": "view",
  "shorturl": "https://selfpage.link/C2Rxy",
  "country": "Canada",
  "referer": "https://yahoo.com",
  "os": "Windows",
  "browser": "Chrome",
  "date": "17-05-2020 04:20:19"
}

Automation ideas: save every new link to a Google Sheet, send yourself a Slack message when a link gets clicks, or add visits to a CRM.
