Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security: besides your password, every time you log in you enter a one-time code generated by an app on your phone. Even if someone finds out your password, they can't get into your account without your phone.
Turn on 2FA
- Install an authenticator app on your phone, for example Google Authenticator (App Store or Google Play).
- In Selfpage, open Settings and, in the Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) box, click Activate 2FA.
- Scan the QR code shown with your authenticator app.
- Save the secret key shown somewhere safe (for example a password manager). You'll need it if you lose or change your phone.
- Enter the 6-digit code from the app in the 2FA Access Code field and confirm.
Logging in with 2FA
After entering your password, open the app, copy the 6-digit code for Selfpage into the Authentication code field and click Verify and log in. The code changes every 30 seconds.
Turn off 2FA
In Settings, click Disable 2FA in the same box.
